Project description

Our goal was to craft an intuitive platform that transforms the Medicare experience for seniors, fostering a dialogue with healthcare providers that empowers them to verify services, share their stories, and reclaim their peace of mind against fraud.

Timeline

10 weeks collaboration between SCADPro & Deloitte.

Background

This project focuses on establishing two-way communication between seniors and healthcare providers to enhance the management of Medicare benefits. By understanding how seniors engage with technology, we aim to empower them to verify services received, fostering trust and reducing the risk of fraud. Through this collaborative approach, seniors can effectively communicate their experiences, ensuring accurate payments while protecting against scams.

Process

Process

Our process blends exploration, insight, and design, crafting intuitive prototypes that empower seniors to engage with technology securely and confidently.

The Problem

Engaging seniors in verifying their healthcare services is crucial for accurate payments and combating Medicare fraud. Seniors, however, are often targeted by scams and identity theft, despite educational efforts by agencies. A secure solution is needed to empower seniors to confirm services received without risking exposure to scammers.

Research

The research utilized interviews, surveys, and a cultural probe to gather insights into seniors' experiences with Medicare and technology. Interviews offered detailed perspectives, surveys quantified needs, and the cultural probe revealed daily interactions, collectively informing the design of a solution tailored to seniors' unique challenges.

Ideation

The ideation phase focused on brainstorming innovative concepts to empower seniors in managing Medicare benefits. Insights from research guided the exploration of design ideas, leading to prototypes that enhance communication and trust with healthcare providers.

Design

The design phase involved creating intuitive prototypes that prioritize usability and security for seniors. By incorporating feedback from earlier stages, we refined the interfaces to ensure clear communication and foster trust between seniors and healthcare providers.
